Faculty of Veterinary Science Chulalongkorn University Participates in the 39th EAEVE Annual General Assembly in Barcelona, Spain
The Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University (CUVET), continues its commitment to advancing veterinary education toward international excellence through active engagement with the global veterinary education community.
On 28–29 May 2026, Aossc.Prof.Dr.Chenpop Sawangmek, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, and Asst.Prof.Dr.Sirirat Rattanaphuchphong, Assistant Dean for Educational Standards Accreditation, represented the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University at the 39th Annual General Assembly of the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education (EAEVE) and the EAEVE Educational Day, hosted by the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), Spain.
The participation aimed to:
✅ Stay updated on the latest EAEVE Regulations and Guidelines, enabling the Faculty to continuously enhance its institutional management and educational practices in response to current and future challenges in veterinary education.
✅ Strengthen international networks and collaborations while preparing for CUVET’s upcoming Full Visitation under the EAEVE evaluation framework, reinforcing the Faculty’s commitment to elevating veterinary education standards in Thailand and the region to internationally recognized levels.
The event brought together representatives from veterinary education institutions worldwide in a highly engaging and collaborative atmosphere. With participation from 96 EAEVE member institutions across Europe and approximately 400 delegates from around the globe, the meeting served as a valuable platform for exchanging perspectives, experiences, and innovations in veterinary education.
The European System of Evaluation of Veterinary Training (ESEVT), administered by EAEVE, is a key quality assurance framework for veterinary education institutions in Europe and affiliated institutions worldwide, including the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Chulalongkorn University, as an Associate Member. The framework aims to ensure that veterinary graduates possess the knowledge, skills, and professional competencies required of a veterinarian from the first day of practice (Day One Competencies), meeting international standards while effectively responding to the needs of society at regional and global levels.
Through its continued engagement with EAEVE and the ESEVT quality assurance system, CUVET reaffirms its dedication to academic excellence, international benchmarking, and the development of globally competent veterinarians for the future.
